Merve Elibol's husband: 

   My husband has fish scale disease. She cannot wash her own clothes because of the wounds on her hands due to her illness. 

   She is not released even though the Court of Cassation overturned her sentence.

Merve Elibol, a kindergarten teacher with advanced fish scale psoriasis, is not released from prison despite her health problems and the fact that her sentence was overturned by the Court of Cassation due to lack of evidence.


    Merve Elibol's husband says: 

   "The Supreme Court overturned the sentence given to my husband.  My wife's health deteriorated in prison. She has psoriasis. She is not given medication. She has wounds on her body because of the conditions in prison. She is in a very difficult situation."


   Newlywed Merve Elibol Gündüz, who has been detained for nearly 2 months, has not committed any criminal offense. 

   Her unlawful detention should be ended, taking into account the retrial process.

   "My wife Merve Elibol Gündüz, who has congenital fish scale disease, has been kept in Edirne L Type Closed Prison since January 9, 2024, although her sentence was overturned by the Court of Cassation.    Kindergarten teacher Merve Elibol suffers from daytime fish scales. 

   Elibol, who has been imprisoned for two months due to her actions, which the ECHR's Yalçınkaya ruling confirmed were not a crime, has been struggling to meet her personal needs in prison.

   Merve Elibol, a congenital fish scale patient, has redness, rash and serious wounds on her skin.

   "The last time I went to the last visit, my wife was exhausted and her psychology was in a collapsed state.Please put a stop to these persecutions! "


   Husband of Merve Elibol Gündüz, who has congenital fish scale disease: 

"Although the Court of Cassation overturned my husband's sentence, he has not been released. He needs to be in a clean and humid environment and take his medication regularly. This is not possible in prison!"

Many patients in prisons do not have access to treatment. Prisons lack facilities to meet the basic needs of the seriously ill. These people must be given the right to a healthy life.

   Serife Sulukan, who was affected by coronavirus and dismissed from her teaching job by a state of emergency decree, was paralyzed on her left side and was arrested on May 3, 2022. 
   
   Ms. Serife, who has a disability and epilepsy, is alone in Menemen R Type Prison. 


   Bahadair Sulukan, the disabled and paralyzed son of Aserife Sulukan, says the following:

    "My mother tells me, 'Please, SOUND MY VOICE, I don't want anything else, I'm sick, I can't get what I need for my treatment, my psychology is broken, I'm alone and in a bad situation'."


   Serife Sulukan, a physics teacher with a state of emergency decree, who is imprisoned in Menemen R Type Prison, tells her family during every interview that she is not well and wants her voice to be heard. 
   A disabled and paralyzed woman should not be in prison!



   Serife Sulukan, a physics teacher and a disabled paraplegic who has been imprisoned in Menemen R Type Prison since May 2022, also suffers from heart disease and epilepsy. Last May, the Forensic Medicine Institution gave her a 'persistent illness' report. 

   Serife Sulukan, a physics teacher with a state of emergency decree, is disabled and paralyzed. She is unable to meet her basic needs such as bathing and toileting on her own. 
   Unfortunately, she has been condemned to live alone in prison. This situation makes Sulukan's daily struggle for survival even more difficult.

Paralyzed and disabled, Serife Sulukan was arrested for sending her child to a school that was closed down and for teaching there. For months she has been held in a single cell in Menemen R Type Prison. 
   However, it is unacceptable for Sulukan, who is paralyzed and cannot even take care of himself, to be in prison.


   Paralyzed and disabled, Serife Sulukan first needs urgent knee surgery. She was arrested for sending her child to a closed school and teaching there.

Even babies who have just opened their eyes to the world are imprisoned with their mothers. This unjust behavior is not written in any country's constitution.

  Sümeyye Aydın was arrested with her 11-month-old baby on December 13th. She has another tearful child outside, who has been separated from her mother.

  
 Esra Baran, a housewife, mother of 2 children, was arrested on December 1, 2022. She is in Manisa E Type Prison. 

   Her mother: "I am the grandmother of these children. They have been without their father for 5 years. Now they have taken their mother. They victimized us a lot..."

   

   Rümeysa Som, a housewife and mother of two, whose husband has been in prison for 2.5 years and whose sentence was upheld by the Court of Cassation, was arrested on May 2. 

   She left behind two daughters, aged 8 and 12.

Turan Canpolat proved the forged documents added to his file one by one from his cell. 

Not even the bar associations heard his voice. 

The ECHR ruled but it is still not being implemented and Turan Canpolat was not being released even though he is eligible for parole.

Turkey ranks first in the world in terms of the increase and deaths of sick prisoners. 

Keeping prisoners who cannot stay in prison is the politics of death and torture. 

All sick prisoners, including 76-year-old Hanife Arslan, must be released immediately.

Nursel Ekici, who was undergoing treatment for cancer, suffered a stroke when she learned that her husband Mustafa Ekici, who had been imprisoned for 7 years, was not granted probation, and died soon after.
